With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Lester Tyrone Moody of Emmet, Arkansas, born in El Dorado, Arkansas, who passed away on December 18, 2025 at the age of 76. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
In the hush of twilight, as the stars twinkle in silent homage, we reflect on the legacy Lester leaves behind and his impact on the lives of his loved ones. Though Lester may no longer walk among us, his spirit lives on in the memories held dear by his family and friends, a guiding light that illuminates their paths in times of darkness.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Raymond Moody and Darlene Reed (Hampton); and his grandfathers, John Hampton and Lester B. Vanhook (Tyree). He is survived by: his wife Peggy Moody; his sons, Marvin Moody, Derrick Moody, Tyrone Hughes and Alvin Gulley; and his siblings, Michael Black, Darrell Greene, Russell Greene, Saundra Greene and Faye Reed. He is also survived by twelve grandchildren; twelve great-grandchildren; and a host of extended family and dear friends.
