He was predeceased by: his parents, Seab Staton and Modena Rollins Staton; the mother of his children Jessie Staton; his siblings, Joe, Eugene, Paul, Ray, Jeanette Newton, Ruth Grisham and Elsa Dixon; his sons, Rickey and Robert Carr; and his granddaughter Micah Myers.

He is survived by: his wife Dorothy Carr Staton; his children, Stanley Staton of Pine Bluff, Donna Harris (Mike) of Dumas, Gayla Bogy (Keith) of Pine Bluff and Cindy Hoy (Noble) of Pine Bluff; his siblings, Junior Staton (Brenda) of Sherwood, Martha Cantrell of Sheridan and Fay Brown of Mabelvale; his grandchildren, Jessica, Eric, Brandon, John, Josh, Trent, Colt, David and Jennifer; his great grandchildren, Haley, Josh, Shelby, Lily, Ava Rae, Stormi Shea and Joli; and his great great grandchild Sutton.

In lieu of flowers donations may be made in his memory to the Rowes Chapel Church.
