He was predeceased by: his parent Loomis; his brothers, Roger and Randy Burks; his great grandchild Abigail Nelson; and his pet Cotton.
He is survived by: his wife Beverly Krisell Burks; his children, James T. Burks (Misty) of Maumelle, Arkansas and Jenny R. Burks of England, Arkansas; his grandchildren, Kenneth J Nelson (Ashley), Shana Page (Big) and Candice Poole (Johnathan); and his great grandchildren, Kenneth Nelson, Gracin Nelson, Annabelle Nelson, Charles Roberts Jr. and Caroline Poole. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
