Walter Harmon Obituary
We announce the death of Walter Harmon of Evening Shade, Arkansas, born in Piggott, Arkansas, who passed away on October 23, 2026, at the age of 76. Walter will be remembered by family members, friends, and others whose lives were connected in meaningful ways. Family and friends are welcome to send flowers or leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Lonnie Harmon and Edna Miller Harmon; and his son Chad Scheffler. He is survived by: his wife Karen Harmon; his children, Kasey Dickerson (Travis) of Evening Shade, Cindy Harmon of Evening Shade, Rhonda Harmon, Erica Kemp of Patterson and Kim Grimes of Fagus, Missouri; his siblings, Jan Lovett (Wayne), Carolyn Barker (Freddy) and Teddy Harmon (Barbara); and his stepsiblings, Jon Settlemoir and Laura Williams. He is also survived by fourteen grandchildren; seven great grandchildren.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, October 29th 2026 from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM at the First Missionary Baptist Church (112 N Main St, Cave City, AR 72521). A funeral service will be held on Thursday, October 29th 2026 at 2:00 PM at the same location.
