She was predeceased by: her parents, Jack Melton and Willie Maxine Newton (Howard). She is survived by: her close friend Tony Smith of Everton; her siblings, John Newton and Dana; and her brother-in-law Andy Allen of Aberdeen, Mississippi. She is also survived by other relatives and many friends.
