She was loved and cherished by many people including: her parents, Ed Southern and Veta Webber Southern; her brother Duane Southern; her former husband Jerry Birch; her husband Herchel Houston; her daughters, Kelly Penn (Ernie) and Kendra Whitfield of Farmington; her sister Lana Hammons of Farmington; her stepchildren, Scott Houston of Farmington, Tony Houston of Louisiana and Lydia Winstead of Fayetteville; her grandchildren, Alexis Beasley, Kylan Whitfield, Asher Houston of Farmington and Matthew Thomas of Bradenton; her great grandchildren, True Smith and Karter Walton of Farmington; and her nephew Clay Hammons of Farmington. She was also cherished by mother and nanny to her grandchildren and great grandchildren.
