In the hush of twilight, as the stars twinkle in silent homage, we reflect on the legacy Dixie Ann leaves behind and her impact on the lives of her loved ones. Though Dixie Ann may no longer walk among us, her spirit lives on in the memories held dear by her family and friends, a guiding light that illuminates their paths in times of darkness.

She was predeceased by: her parents, Digby West and Virginia Ervin Walker. She is survived by: her husband John Conway Cole, Jr.; and her sons, John Walker Cole (Karen), Scott Crandall Cole (Emily) and Brian Wilson Cole (Andrea). She is also survived by fourteen grandchildren and twenty-six great-grandchildren.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Butterfield Trail Village Foundation, First Baptist Church of Fayetteville, or the Salvation Army.
