He is survived by: his wife Sherry; his brothers, Ronald Young of New Mexico and Donald Young of Texas; and his children, Alan Young of Ames and Renita Moore of Pea Ridge, Arkansas. He is also survived by many grandchildren and great-grandchildren; and countless friends.
Visitation was held on Thursday, July 10th 2025 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Nelson-Berna Funeral Home (4520 N Crossover Rd, Fayetteville, AR 72764).
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Beautification Fund at Butterfield Trail Village in Fayetteville or to the University of Arkansas Civil Engineering Program in honor of the James Young Scholarship.
