He was predeceased by: his parents, Elmer Earl Lindsey and Ida Cary Lindsey (Busby); and his siblings, Tommye Satterfield, Betty Holman, Joyce Clark and B. Lindsey.

He is survived by: his friend Frank Broyles; his wife Nita Kaye Vanhook Lindsey of Newport, Arkansas.; his sister Claudette Ferguson of Harrison, Arkansas; his children, James Earl "Lyndy" Lindsey (Laura) of Fayetteville, John David Lindsey (Brooke) of Fayetteville and Sarah Lindsey Clark Hyneman (Brian Hyneman) of Fayetteville; his grandchildren, Jack Lindsey (Hailey), Sam Lindsey, Link Lindsey (Cambrey Parrish), Loren Lindsey, Libby Lindsey, Drake Lindsey, Cooper Clark, Tyler Clark and Annakaye Clark; and his great grandchild Sawyer Lindsey. He is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, cherished friends.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorial contributions be made to the Razorback Foundation, Ventures for Christ, Caldwell Baptist Church, or the Bridge Church in Wynne, AR.
