He was predeceased by: his parents, Johnny Lewis and Anna Mae "Shug" Hampton (Crabtree); and his siblings, Kenneth Hampton, Bob Hampton, Charles Hampton, Bill Hampton and Mary Jo Shaw (Hampton).
He is survived by: his wife Betty Kay Hampton (Jones) of Fayetteville, Arkansas; his former wife Joan Jimerson Hampton of Wynne, Arkansas; his children, Johnie Wayne Hampton II (Krystal Hampton) of Tulsa, Oklahoma, Joni Hampton Williams of Wynne, Juli Hampton Atkinson (Brant) of Tulsa and Jeni Hampton Cobb (Kasey) of Fort Myers, Florida.; his grandchildren, Hana Settles (Frank), Hunter Williams, Zane Hampton, Grayson Hampton, Avery Atkinson Brown (Eli), Riley Atkinson, Ally Quick and Brady Quick; his former spouses, Mark Gillihan, Shannon Gay and Kasey Robinson (Stacey Robinson); his grandchildren, Zared Gay, Rachel Harris (Chance), Andrew Gillihan, Owen Bell, Jax Robinson, Raylen and Ellis Harris; Zeva and Iris Gay.
Memorials may be made to Hope Cancer Resources in Springdale, Arkansas, the Springdale Animal Shelter, or The Circle of Life Hospice Home at Legacy in Bentonville, Arkansas.
