Michael Lieber Obituary
The memory of Michael Lieber of Fayetteville, Arkansas, who passed away on December 23, 2024 at the age of 87, will forever remain in the hearts of those touched by this precious presence in their lives. He was predeceased by: his parents, Joseph Lieber and Sara Lieber; his brother Edward; and his son Kenneth. He is survived by: his wife Eileen; his brothers, Stephen and Richard; his daughters, Laura (Scott Strain) and Debbie Deere (Tom); and his daughter-in-law Dana. He is also survived by six grandchildren.
He retired with the rank of professor emeritus in 2011, but he was coaxed from retirement a few times to teach specialized classes, and he continued to come to campus daily to meet with his colleagues until the pandemic changed his routine.
