He is survived by: his children, Matthew Norvell (Ping Chen) of Plano, TX and Sarah Norvell (Maks Adach) of New York, NY; and his grandsons, Ethan and Nolan Norvell.
A funeral service was held on Friday, September 26th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the St. Paul's Episcopal Church (224 N East Ave, Fayetteville, AR 72701).
In lieu of flowers, the family asks that contributions be made to the University of Arkansas School of Law in memory of Professor Norvell.
