She was predeceased by: her parents, John Hubert and Lillian Lawhorn Turner; her husband Charles Pope; and her sister Dr. Mary Catherine Elliott. She is survived by: her daughter LaDonna Verser (Lance); her sister Betty Buchanan; and her grandchildren, Hunter Verser and Abigail McDowell.

Visitation will be held on Tuesday, October 7th 2025 from 10:30 AM to 11:30 AM at the First Baptist Church (20 E Dickson St, Fayetteville, AR 72701). A funeral service will be held on Tuesday, October 7th 2025 at 11:30 AM at the same location.
