He was predeceased by: his parents, Thomas "T. F." Hively and Elsie Hively. He is survived by: his wife Tommie Hively; his daughters, Michelle Price (Jim) and Sarah Beth McClintock (Jacob); and his grandsons, James Hively Price and Owen Thomas McClintock.
