We announce the death of Wayland Alvin Harris of Fayetteville, Arkansas, who passed away on September 29, 2026, at the age of 87. Wayland will be remembered by family members, friends, and others whose lives were connected in meaningful ways. He was predeceased by: his parents, Charles Holland Harris and Agnes Bridges Harris; and his son Preston Harris. He is survived by: his wife Wanda Wright Harris; his son Paul Alvin Harris (Danyelle); his grandchildren, Alyssa Dean (JP), Caleb Harris (Maleah), Daxton Harris, Baylee Agresto (Evan), Kaili Baker (Chase) and Maddie Harris; his great grandchild Luke Dean; and his brothers, C. H. Harris (Rose Marie), Layman Harris and Stanley Harris (Virginia).
Visitation was held on Monday, October 5th 2026 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Cross Church (1709 Johnson Rd, Springdale, AR 72762-6022). A funeral service was held on Monday, October 5th 2026 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
