We are sad to announce that on March 12, 2024, at the age of 94, Joan Smith Mooney of Fordyce, Arkansas, born in Collierville, Tennessee passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

She was predeceased by : her parents, Hunter Neeley Carruthers and Elizabeth Olene Hendrickson Carruthers; her husbands, Jesse Paul "Cotton" Smith and Raymond Mooney; her siblings, Stanley Carruthers, Neeley Carruthers, Lillian Knox, Beth Lewis, Grace Robertson, Marion Mayberry and Trudy Cowell; and her stepmother Doris Carruthers.

She is survived by : her children, Paul Smith (Susan) of Pine Bluff and Linnie Grice (Randy) of Kingsland; her stepsiblings, James Clay and Joan Clay; her grandchildren, Robb Grice, Randy Grice (Donna), Trey Smith and Jennifer Smith Rice (Steven); her great grandchild Carol Ann Meaders (Rick); and her grandchildren, Matt Meaders and Beth Meaders Upton. She is also survived by nieces and nephews.
