She was predeceased by : her parents, Herbert Hay and Ludie Bell Boyer; her stepfather Orland Osburn Boyer; and her siblings, John Hay, James Hay and Betty Langrell.

She is survived by : her husband Fred Pennington; her daughters, Sonya Kuykendall (Paul) of Springdale and Stephania Beard (Tim) of Siloam Springs; and her grandchildren, Molly Kuykendall, Zachary Beard, Nathan Beard and Courtney Beard. She is also survived by two great grandchildren.
