He is survived by: his wife Virginia Cottrell; his children, James Cottrell, Jr. of Memphis, TN, Joshua Cottrell of Memphis, TN, Joy Talbert (Cory) of Marion, AR and Tammi Taylor of Norwalk, CA; and his brother Arnell Denison of Fresno, CA. He is also survived by four grandchildren, five great grandchildren and many other relatives and friend.
Visitation will be held on Friday, September 25th 2026 from 3:00 PM to 5:00 PM at the Clay Funeral Home (2522 E Broadway Ave, Forrest City, AR 72335).
