Mitchell Durrall May Obituary
With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Mitchell Durrall May of Forrest City, Arkansas, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on October 27, 2025 at the age of 86. Family and friends are welcome to send flowers or leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
As we bid adieu to Mitchell's earthly form, let us not dwell on the void left in his wake, but rather celebrate the legacy of love and inspiration Mitchell has bequeathed us. For though he may have departed from our sight, his spirit remains a timeless beacon, guiding loved ones through the labyrinth of life's journey.
He was predeceased by: his parents, John Redden May and Elven Voss May of Forrest City; and his siblings, Rayburn May, Marshall May and Charlene Rushing.
He is survived by: his wife Sybil May; his children, Phillip May (Sammi May) and Marjorie Mitchell (Michael Mitchell); and his sister Phyllis May Nance Lamb. He is also survived by six grandchildren; four great-grandchildren.
Visitation was held on Thursday, October 30th 2025 from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM at the Oak Hill Church of God (97 Oak Hill Rd, Forrest City, AR 72335). A funeral service was held on Thursday, October 30th 2025 at 2:00 PM at the same location. A burial was held on Thursday, October 30th 2025 at the Hughes Cemetery.
