He was predeceased by: his parents, Nathan Daniel "Jack" Thompson and Bertha Bell Watson. He is survived by: his wife Patricia JoAnn Ward; his daughters, LaDon Thompson Byars of Dyersburg, Tennessee, Lee Ann Sitzes (Derick) of Minden, Louisiana and Tracy McCain of Beebe, Arkansas.; his siblings, George Thompson (Pat) of Marshall, Arkansas and Martha Gosa of Hot Springs, Arkansas; and his sister-in-law Beverly Thompson of Jonesboro, Arkansas. He is also survived by 14 grandchildren, 16 great-grandchildren, and was expecting a great-great-granddaughter.
