With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Tom Higgs of Forrest City, Arkansas, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on September 28, 2025 at the age of 100. Leave a sympathy message to the family on the memorial page of Tom Higgs to pay them a last tribute.

He was predeceased by: his parents, Thomas A Higgs and Elizabeth Peevey Higgs; and his siblings, Laverne Robertson, Rosamond Howington and Jerry Higgs.

He is survived by: his wife Clara Hayden Higgs; his children, William N. (Bill) and Mary Ann Gammill (Ted); his grandchildren, Leah Pierce (Marc), Taylor Gammill (Marly), Parker Higgs (Ginsie), James Gammill, Jenny Ward (Tanner) and Jackson Gammill; and his great grandchildren, Ethan, Ansley, Harper, Bo, Hayden, George and Sloane.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be sent to The First United Methodist Church of Forrest City, 101 S. Izard, Forrest City, AR 72335.
