In the soft embrace of remembrance, we recall the profound impact Virginia had on those she encountered along her journey. Though Virginia may have slipped beyond the veil of mortality, her essence lingers like a faint fragrance in the air, a lingering reminder of the beauty and complexity of the human experience.
She was predeceased by: her parents, John Paul Powell and Annie Pearl Newton Powell; her husband James Walker, Jr.; and her daughter Virjammia Walker. She is survived by: her children, James Walker, III of Forrest City, AR, Fredrick Walker of Omaha, NE and Yashica Walker Torres of Jacksonville, FL; and her siblings, John Thomas Powell of Jacksonville, FL and Sadie Bell Powell of Jacksonville, FL. She is also survived by sixteen grandchildren, four great grandchildren and many other relatives and friends.
Visitation was held on Friday, December 12th 2025 from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM at the Clay Funeral Home (2522 E Broadway Ave, Forrest City, AR 72335). A funeral service will be held on Saturday, December 13th 2025 at 2:00 PM.
