He was predeceased by: his parents, Earnest Thomas and Ada Deere Thomas; and his wife Ethel Jean Smith. He is survived by: his children, William Earl Thomas of Colt, Richard Allen Thomas of Forrest City, Steven Ashley Thomas of Forrest City and Ruth Ann Harrison (Willy); and his siblings, David Allen Thomas of Texas, Jerry Thomas of Texas, Christine Jones of Palestine, Carol Pruitt of Palestine, Gracie Poindexter of Arkansas and Kathy Burke of Arkansas. He is also survived by five grandchildren, and four great-grandchildren.
