She was loved and cherished by many people including: her parents, Barbara Nadine Eubanks and Darrell Lee McLemore; her husband Stephen E. Simpson Sr.; her children, Deanna, Stephen, Melandy, Ashley, Stephanie and David; and her siblings, Rhonda McLemore, Kimberly Branum, Ruby Harbour, Danny McLemore and Sherry Tedder. She was also cherished by numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
