Though Barbara may no longer walk beside us, her legacy lives on — a testament to the enduring power of love to transcend the boundaries of time and space.
She was predeceased by: her parents, John R. Gartrell and Bobbie Monk Gatrell (Monk); her brother George Gartrell; and her grandson David Shawn. She is survived by: her brothers, James Lewis of Fort Smith and John R. Gartrell of Checotah, OK; and her children, Kathryn Chronister of Dover, AR, Lenda Betts (Mark) of Iowa, Debbie Cunningham of Iowa, Tammy Fielder of Fort Smith, David Gipson of Fort Smith and Shawn Cunningham of Ireland. She is also survived by seven grandchildren; eleven great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
