He was predeceased by: his parents, Carl Hobart and Ora Jones (Griffith); his wife Aftin Lea Jones; and his siblings, Bobby, Raymond, Lloyd Jones and Betty Musgrove.
He is survived by: his children, Melvin Keith Jones, Wanda Coleen Cruz, Cheryl Jean Jones and Carla Christine Jones. He is also survived by two grandchildren and two great grandchildren.
Visitation will be held on Sunday, October 25th 2026 from 4:00 PM to 6:00 PM at the Southside Free Will Baptist Church (2828 Briarcliff Ave, Fort Smith, AR 72908). A funeral service will be held on Monday, October 26th 2026 at 10:00 AM at the same location.
