He was predeceased by: his children, Eugenia Praytor, Jeff Sorrells and Bill Sorrells. He is survived by: his wife Margaret Sorrells; his daughters, Becky Ahlert (Tom), Autumn Glisson (James) and Bethany Soutello (Mitch); his sister Cherry Rains; his siblings-in-law, Eddie and Gerry Leonard; his nephews, Eddie Leonard Jr. and Dewayne Rains; his son-in-law Tom Ahlert; his niece Dorothy Preston; his grandchildren, Josh Keener, Tyler Cutting (Anna), Nicholas Cutting, Chance Praytor (Rebecca), Emmaline Ross (Mitch) and Reiter Ahlert; and his great grandchildren, Frank Praytor, Truitt Praytor and Claire Cutting.

In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made to The Salvation Army.
