He was predeceased by: his parents, James Mayhew and Pearl Mayhew (Jones); his brothers, Marvin Mayhew, Bervil Mayhew and Donald Mayhew; and his son Jeff Mayhew.
He is survived by: his wife Paula Mayhew of Fort Smith, AR; his son Steve Mayhew (Virginia) of McAlester, OK; and his grandsons, Christopher Mayhew of Tulsa, OK and Nathanael Mayhew of McAlester, OK. He is also survived by Several nieces and nephews.
