It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Dwight Gibbs of Fort Smith, Arkansas, who passed away on September 25, 2025, at the age of 81, leaving to mourn family and friends. You can send your sympathy in the guestbook provided and share it with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Dempsey Raymond Gibbs and Grace Gibbs (Boyd); his siblings, Glenda Foster (George) and Ramon Gibbs (Ruth); his brother-in-law Harold Blanscet; his parents-in-law, Gene and Marie Blanscet; and his siblings' children, Cindy Grubb and Bobby Gibbs.
He is survived by: his wife Shirley Jean Gibbs; his son Kevin Ray Gibbs (Agnes); his granddaughter Kayla Spangler (Martin); his sibling's children, Lena Crain, Gena Olsen, Sherry Carter, Brooke Harris, Brian Trotter, Todd Blanscet, Dustin Blanscet, Harold Gibbs, Steve Foster and Mike Foster; and his sisters-in-law, Patricia Dill and Diana Blanscet.
Visitation will be held on Monday, September 29th 2025 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Rye Hill Baptist Church (11501 U. S. Hwy 71, Fort Smith, AR 72916). A funeral service will be held on Monday, September 29th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the same location. A burial will be held on Monday, September 29th 2025 at 12:00 PM at the Steep Hill Cemetery.
Memorial contributions may be made to Rye Hill Baptist Church's Building Fund for Future Growth.
