He was predeceased by: his parents, William Frick and Myrtle Tardy Frick; his sisters, Gertrude Burke and Bertha Burmaster; his wife Margaret Wray Frick; his son John Michael Frick; his wife Sally Shumate Frick; and his grandson Jay Steele Richardson.
He is survived by: his children, Ford Frick (Brenda) of Lafayette La, Shell Frick of Fort Smith, Susan Hines of Brookhaven, MS, Laura Pogue (David) of Kaplan, LA and Lou Ann Blocker (Carson) of Vancouver, WA; and his stepchildren, Bill Shumate, David Shumate and Diane Longo. He is also survived by 7 grandchildren, 10 great grandchildren, and 9 great-great grandchildren.
Visitation will be held on Wednesday, October 7th 2026 from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM at the Edwards Funeral Home Chapel (201 N 12th St, Fort Smith, AR 72901). A memorial service will be held on Wednesday, October 7th 2026 at 1:00 PM at the same location. A burial will be held on Saturday, October 10th 2026 at the Alexandria Memorial Gardens.
