He was predeceased by: his parents, Walter Helms and Thelma Helms; his son Brian S. Helms; and his siblings, Lisa Looney and Dennis Helms.
He is survived by: his wife Debbie Helms; his daughter Jennifer; his son-in-law Matt Graham; his grandchildren, Lane, Zachary Thomas, Kaitlynn Graham, Justin Gatlin and Jakob Scow; his great grandchildren, Luke, Isla Thomas and Max Gatlin; and his siblings, David, Bruce, Linda and Alan. He is also survived by numerous extended family members and friends.
In honor of Gary's life, the family requests that memorial donations be made to the American Cancer Society.
