He was predeceased by: his parents, Joseph Nelms and Wilma Bradbury; and his sisters, Joyce Moore and Dorothy Bruce. He is survived by: his wife Arvetta Nelms; his children, Lori Montgomery (Russ Williams) of Memphis, TN, Cheryl Vandemark (Doug) of California, Kenny Nelms of South Dakota and Marlon Nelms (Robin) of Kansas; his stepson Keith Woods (Soni) of Texas; and his siblings, Bill Nelms, Mildred Hoehman and Pat Hall (Mickey). He is also survived by eleven grandchildren; 21 great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandchild.
