It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of James Richard Vandermillion of Fort Smith, Arkansas, who passed away on April 12, 2024, at the age of 77, leaving to mourn family and friends. You can send your sympathy in the guestbook provided and share it with the family.

He was predeceased by : his parents, Richard Vandermillion and Norma Jo Vandermillion; his grandparents, Clovis and Stella Vandermillion; and his sister Vickie Barnes.

He is survived by : his significant other Elizabeth "Ann" Vandermillion; his daughter Sheryl Shepherd (Kevin) of Ozark; his grandchildren, Kristen Atchley (Josh) of Waldron, Garrett Shepherd of Ozark, Kortney Whitecotton (Bobby) of Paris and Jessica Holt (Glen) of Booneville; and his great grandchildren, Clayton, Kenleigh, Kaity, Charlotte, Saylor, Korbin, Sawyer and Harrison. He is also survived by several nieces, nephews, and cousins.

Visitation was held on Tuesday, April 16th 2024 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Lewis Funeral Chapel (4817 Kelley Hwy, Fort Smith, AR 72904). A funeral service was held on Wednesday, April 17th 2024 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
