He was loved and cherished by many people including: wife: Jude; parents: Al Hassler and Helen Hassler; brother: Joe Gene Hassler (Bonnie Hassler); daughters: Cindy (Keith) Larkin, Ginger Huffstetler, Becky Hassler; son: Michael (Meghan) Hassler; grandchildren: Joshua (Crystal) Huffstetler, Jacob (Preslie) Huffstetler, BJ (Whitley) Huffstetler, Blake (Mariah) Larkin-Ewing, Claire Hassler, Alec Hassler; caregiver: JoNell; hospice staff: Dr. Gaborni, Donna, and Shari; housekeeper: Monica; and many great grandchildren, a soon to be great-great granddaughter, long-time friends, uncles, and neighbors.

Visitation will be held on Friday, October 16th 2026 from 5:00 PM to 6:00 PM at the Edwards Funeral Home Chapel (201 N 12th St, Fort Smith, AR 72901). A rosary will be held on Friday, October 16th 2026 at 6:00 PM at the Edwards Funeral Home (201 N 12th St, Fort Smith, AR 72901). A funeral Mass will be held on Saturday, October 17th 2026 at 10:00 AM at the Christ the King Catholic Church (2112 S Greenwood Ave, Fort Smith, AR 72901). A burial will be held on Saturday, October 17th 2026 at the Holy Cross Cemetery.
