Joann C. Humphrey Obituary
We announce the death of Joann C. Humphrey (Fort Smith, Arkansas), who passed away on October 23, 2026, at the age of 90. Joann will be remembered by family members, friends, and others whose lives were connected in meaningful ways. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her husband Lt. Col. Paul Humphrey; and her sister Lavonne Nelson. She is survived by: her children, Debbie Lane (Robert) of Haines City, Florida, Donna Rogers (Scotty) of Shreveport, Louisiana, Barbara Fox (Terry) of Greenwood, Arkansas and David Humphrey (Alice) of Van Buren, Arkansas.; and her siblings, Laverne Swenson, Bobbie Swenson, Carol Berg, Margie Appelman and Bonnie Stevens. She is also survived by her six grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be held on Tuesday, November 3rd 2026 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Our Redeemer Lutheran Church (2100 Cavanaugh Rd, Fort Smith, AR 72908). A memorial service will be held on Tuesday, November 3rd 2026 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in her honor to Our Redeemer Lutheran Church, or to the Methodist Village Senior Living Foundation.
