She was predeceased by: her father James F. Payne; and her brother David Britton. She is survived by: her mother Iva C. Payne (Hendrix); her husband Gabriel Newton; her children, Kayleigh (Nick), Danielle, Kristoff (Deyonna), Kendall and Gabriel Jr. (Candace); her grandchildren, Nikea (Laney), Sierra (Aiden), Jenna, Kylin, Keshaun, Tre, Sofia, Eli, Jabez, Aaron and Joseph; her great grandchildren, Jonas, Esther, Eden, Ezra and Reina; her siblings, Kim Burke (Mack), Jimmy and Kevin Payne; her son Anthony Sterling; and her nieces and nephews, Ryan, Caleb, Lauren, Zack, Macksimus, Mackimlee and Mackayla.
Visitation was held on Friday, October 16th 2026 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Lewis Funeral Chapel (4817 Kelley Hwy, Fort Smith, AR 72904). A funeral service was held on Saturday, October 17th 2026 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
