He was predeceased by: his parents, John Gantt and Maude Gantt (Wray); and his stepson Stephen Shackleford. He is survived by: his wife Charlotte Gantt; his close friend Paula Baker; and his goddaughter Diana Baker-Perez. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews, cousins, and a host of extended family.
