He was predeceased by: his parents, John Hatwig and Amelia Hatwig (Kremers); his wife Joan Lies; his son Kenny Hatwig; and his siblings, Albert, Gilbert, Edward "Bill", Robert "Bob" Hatwig, Lucille Monroe, Mary Wewers and Delores Sidler.
He is survived by: his daughters, Karen Bennett of Fort Smith, Betty Hatwig of Van Buren, Rosemary Smith (Hal) of Bergman and Judy Young of Barling; his granddaughter Courtney Funmaker (Josh) of Cave Springs; his great grandchild Adalyn Funmaker; and his sister Ruth Binz (Eddie) of Charleston. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
