He was predeceased by: his parents, Mont Sandels Echols Sr. and Carmelita Sicard Echols. He is survived by: his wife Perthenia Ann Buchanan Echols; his children, Mont Echols III of Maui, HI, Elizabeth Echols of Tulsa, OK, Katherine Ahrens (Mark) of Chicago, IL and Michael Echols (Martha) of Fort Smith; his grandchildren, Courtney Bourdeaux (Austin), Ashley Lucas (Daniel), Mont "Guy" Echols IV, Thomas Echols, Molly Ahrens, Ella Ratliff (Matt), Claire Ahrens, Lillie Ahrens, Madalyn Echols and Mallory Echols; and his great grandchildren, Caroline Bourdeaux, Charles "Tripp" Bourdeaux, Jane Lucas and Emma Lucas.
Visitation was held on Monday, September 29th 2025 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Edwards Funeral Home Chapel (201 N 12th St, Fort Smith, AR 72901).
