He was predeceased by: his parents, Billy Cherry Byers (Lavera Byers) and Norma Hunt (Everett Hunt); his former wife Eva Byers; his granddaughter Shelby Byers; and his sister Brenda Palsa.
He is survived by: his wife Linda Byers of Fort Smith; his children, Brad Byers (Bonnie) of Greenwood, Billy (Hollie) of Pocola, Oklahoma, Kim White and John Potter of Whitesboro, Texas; his siblings, Buddy Hunt (Michelle) of Muldrow, Charles Hunt of Alabama, Brian Byers of Fort Smith, Arkansas and Susie Black (Steve) of Hackett, Arkansas; his grandchildren, Bree McBride (Dakota), Braden Byers (Hailey), Brooklyn Cox (Tyler), Josh Garner (Jessica), Tori Franklin (Justin), Kendall Garner, Jenna White and Cody White; and his great grandchildren, Rylan McBride, Ava Jayne McBride, Millie Jo McBride, Baker Byers, Bennett Byers, Tucker Cox, Kylie Chau, Hadley Garner, Kenzlee Garner and River Garner.
Visitation was held on Wednesday, September 24th 2025 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Martin Funeral & Cremation Chapel (108 Sebascott Ave, Mansfield, AR 72944). A funeral service was held on Thursday, September 25th 2025 at 10:00 AM at the Rye Hill Baptist Church (11501 US-71, Fort Smith, AR 72916).
