He was predeceased by : his parents, Franklin Grimes and Pauline Sims Grimes; and his brother Noah Grimes. He is survived by : his wife Tammi Grimes; his children, Cathi Grimes of Fort Smith, Merri Skoog (Nate) of Virginia, Veronica Grimes of Fort Smith and Teresa Willis (Nathan) of Gore; and his brothers, Walter and Tony Grimes. He is also survived by 11 grandchildren and 3 great grandchildren.

A funeral service was held on Friday, April 19th 2024 at 2:00 PM at the Lewis Funeral Chapel (4817 Kelley Hwy, Fort Smith, AR 72904).
