She was predeceased by: her parents, Harold Irwin and Juanita Irwin; her son Rodney Neel; her grandsons, Jonathan Neel and Alex Neel; and her siblings, Robey Irwin, Jerry Irwin and Joan Menick.

She is survived by: her husband Jerry Neel; her children, Jerry Neel Jr. (Marisu), Dennis Neel, Scott Neel (Caroline) and Karen Gipson (Greg); and her grandchildren, Paul Neel Natalie Neel (Lindsey), Eric Neel, Kristan Lewellen, Katelyn Maxwell (Bryant), Nick Lewellen (Ashley), Abbey Whorton (Hunter), Logan Neel, Annabelle Manely (Ryan) and Alexyss Gipson.

Visitation will be held on Thursday, October 15th 2026 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Edwards Funeral Home (201 N 12th St, Fort Smith, AR 72901). A celebration of life will be held on Friday, October 16th 2026 at 11:00 AM at the First Baptist Church (1400 Grand Ave, Fort Smith, AR 72901).
