It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Shirley Ann Craig (Fort Smith, Arkansas), who passed away on September 22, 2025, at the age of 89, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Earl Howard Craig and Jewell Craig; her son Charles Wayne Scamardo, Jr.; her siblings, Ruby, Betty, Maebelle, Barbara and Jack Hood; and her daughter-in-law Teresa Scamardo.
She is survived by: her brother Robert Earl Craig of Cleveland, Oklahoma; her sons, Brad Scamardo of Salisbury, NC and Tim (Patti Scamardo) of Gastonia, NC; and her grandchildren, Lauren, Matthew Scamardo of Fort Smith, Arkansas, Michael, Meredith Scamardo of Gastonia and Kyle Anthony Scamardo. She is also survived by 5 great-grandchildren as well as many, more cousins, nieces and nephews.
Visitation was held on Friday, September 26th 2025 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Edwards Funeral Home (201 N 12th St, Fort Smith, AR 72901). A graveside service was held on Saturday, September 27th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the Forest Park Cemetery (5001 Midland Blvd, Fort Smith, AR 72901).
