We bid farewell to Shirley Ann Nielsen of Fort Smith, Arkansas, whose journey of life gracefully concluded on July 19, 2025 at the age of 85. Shirley Ann touched countless lives with warmth and kindness, leaving behind cherished memories that will forever echo in hearts. She was predeceased by: her parents, Homer Bishop and Barbara Bishop (Walker); her husbands, Fred Nielsen and Charles Blythe; her brother Buford Bishop; her brother-in-law Harley Thomas; and her granddaughter Abigail Nielsen.
She is survived by: her stepson Paul Dean Nielsen; her sister Dorcus Thomas; her sibling's children, Bill (Peggy Thomas), Sheri (Darrell Brown), Connie (Hank Taylor), Alan (Penny Bishop), Tiffany (Shawn Jameson) and Julaine (Dan Pearson); and her great grandchild Axel Nielsen.
Viewing will be held on Wednesday, July 23rd 2025 from 1:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the McConnell Funeral Home Chapel (137 N Main St, Greenwood, AR 72936). A funeral service will be held on Thursday, July 24th 2025 at 2:00 PM at the same location.
