He was predeceased by: his parents, Thomas Jefferson Clayton and Edith Mae Roberts Clayton; his siblings, Irene Gann and Bill Clayton; and his grandchildren, Austin Elder and Lauren Bare.
He is survived by: his wife Wanda Clayton; his children, Mark Clayton (Jo), Mike Clayton (Lourdes), Tina Bare (Michael), Gina Elder (Michael) and Melissa Gibbs (Harold); and his grandchildren, Matthew Clayton, Christopher Clayton, Brittany Przybysz, Alex Bare, Nash Griggs and Trent Griggs. He is also survived by eight grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren, along with many extended family members and dear friends.
Visitation was held on Monday, September 28th 2026 from 12:00 PM to 1:00 PM at the Edwards Funeral Home (201 N 12th St, Fort Smith, AR 72901). A celebration of life was held on Monday, September 28th 2026 at 1:00 PM at the same location.
