He was predeceased by: his parents, Jim Qualls and Lilly Qualls (Tubbs); his wife Betty; his son Robert Wade Qualls; and his brothers, Quentin Qualls and Wilford Qualls.

He is survived by: his children, Rick Qualls of Thailand and Loretta Knight of Shady Point, Oklahoma.
