It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Walter Pennington (Fort Smith, Arkansas), born in McCurtain, Oklahoma, who passed away on January 7, 2026, at the age of 77, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Covan A. Pennington and Marguerite Porter-Pennington-Self; and his brother Douglas Pennington. He is survived by: his wife Terry J. Pennington; his children, Michelle Powdrill (Stephen), Douglas Pennington (Jennifer) and Donna Davis (Rick); his grandchildren, Alyssa Powdrill, Ryan Powdrill (Anna), Shawn Price (Serenity), Hannah Powdrill, Gillian Pennington, Cameron Pennington, Ian Price, Logan Pennington and Roper Davis; and his great grandchildren, Blake Powdrill, Ada Price, Cerienna Powdrill and Rhett Price. He is also survived by his grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
