We announce the death of Sandra Long Hollis Barfield of Fountain Hill, Arkansas, born in Chicago, Illinois, who passed away on September 21, 2026, at the age of 74. She was predeceased by: her husbands, George Barfield and John "Buddy" Hollis; and her parents, William Houston and Alfreda Fowler Long. She is survived by: her sons, John Michael Hollis (Jenny) of Monticello and Curt William Hollis (Tonya) of Grant, Louisiana; her stepchildren, Lisa Cunningham (Carl) of Hamburg and Kevin Barfield (Ashley) of Snyder; her sisters, Janet Lerchie (Ken) of Madison, Diane Divine (James) of Monticello and Melisa Long (Ricky Johnson); her grandchildren, Madison Parker (Jacob), Melissa Hoover (Jacob) and Regan Lay; and her great grandchild Olivia Hoover.
Visitation will be held on Saturday, September 26th 2026 from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM at the Jones-Hartshorn Funeral Home Chapel (302 E Lincoln St, Hamburg, AR 71646). A funeral service will be held on Saturday, September 26th 2026 at 2:00 PM at the same location. A burial will be held on Saturday, September 26th 2026 at the Pinewood Memorial Park (688 State Hwy 52 W, Hamburg, AR 71646).
