It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Darlene Dovie Jackson of Franklin, Arkansas, who passed away on June 11, 2025, at the age of 89, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Floyd Mitchell and Beulah Talitha Hackney (Phelps); her husbands, Joseph Sparkman and Lloyd Jackson; and her son Gary Jackson.
She is survived by: her children, Calvin Jackson of Oxford, Arkansas, Carolyn Rhynes (Larry) of Ash Flat, Kathy Burch of Salem and Angela Walker (Russ) of Salem, Arkansas; and her siblings, Harold Hackney of Kansas City, Darrell Hackney of Hot Springs, Cleo Hackney (Nancy) of Cherokee Village, Arkansas, Zelma Gregory of Cherokee Village, Sue Taylor (Darrell) of Hardy and Kay Carpenter of Rogers, Arkansas. She is also survived by eight grandchildren; twenty seven great grandchildren; four great great grandchildren.
Visitation will be held on Saturday, June 14th 2025 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Myron Baptist Church (280 E Arkansas 56, Ash Flat, AR 72513). A funeral service will be held on Saturday, June 14th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the same location. A burial will be held on Saturday, June 14th 2025 at the Bates Cemetery.
Memorials may be made to the Myron Baptist Church in Myron, Arkansas.
