It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Russell Whitney of Gillham, Arkansas, born in Picher, Oklahoma, who passed away on September 18, 2025, at the age of 77, leaving to mourn family and friends. Though Russell has departed this earthly realm, his legacy endures — a legacy of love that will continue to illuminate the lives of family and friends in the darkest of hours. May his spirit soar on wings of eternal peace, forever cherished in the tender embrace of memory.
He was predeceased by: his parents, George Whitney and Nellie Whitney; his brother Henry Whitney (Mike); and his half-sisters, Barbara Curtis and Dolly Mae Jaramillo.
He is survived by: his daughter Tiffany Gayle Whitney; his grandchildren, Haygan Michael Smith, Rex Kirkley, Payton Matthew Vines and Haylee Jo Nash; and his brother Robert Whitney (Bobby) of Gillham, Arkansas. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
